Ignition Responds to Viral Poker Bot Farm Video, Says Footage From 2022

Online gambling operator Ignition has issued a rebuttal to a video that went viral over the weekend, seemingly showing over 25 screens simultaneously playing multi-table tournaments (MTTs) on Ignition and Bovada.

Tuesday’s statement claims that the footage is actually from 2022. The platform said that all the accounts shown have since been deleted, as well as some additional ones that were revealed during a review.

Ignition emphasized that it doesn’t tolerate any type of cheating and asked players to give feedback to help continually improve security:

In response to the statement, some people asked whether Ignition had refunded players affected by the 2022 botting issue.

Martin Zamani, who posted the video of the bot farm, also responded to Ignition’s statement on Tuesday. He posted a screenshot from the same source that provided the original footage. This latest post suggests that 100 bots participated in a 2024 tournament on Bovada, which shares a player pool with Ignition:
