Timothée Chalamet has gone to great lengths to promote the nationwide release of his new film Marty Supreme on December 25. In his latest move, he became the first person to publicly appear at the top of the Las Vegas Sphere in an announcement for the upcoming movie:

It’s the type of promotion for a movie that’s rarely seen these days. The impressive pan out video shot shows the dizzying heights and the epic shot of the Nevada skyline at sunrise.

Marty Supreme is a movie loosely based on the well-known American table tennis player Marty Reisman. As well as appearing as the main character, Chalamet is also a co-producer on the film.

hinting at a possible Oscar for his performance in Marty Supreme

The 29-year-old has come in for criticism regarding how he has been drumming up publicity. He appeared to be very self-flattering, hinting at a possible Oscar for his performance in Marty Supreme while appearing on Good Morning America.

Many people on social media remarked about this cockiness, to which Chalamet said was “in the spirit of Marty.” He said that, whether it’s a Zoom call or a media appearance, he’s “trying to get this out in the biggest way possible.”

The movie has had limited screenings in recent days before the nationwide rollout. It netted the best per-screen average of the year, which shows that people are interested in seeing what this original film offers.
