A deadly street takeover last month in the Southwest valley of Las Vegas has seen a belated plea from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects.
The LVMPD took to X on Tuesday with surveillance images of the two suspects it wants to interview in connection with a homicide on the night of the takeover:
According to a Metro press release, the shooting happened on Saturday, November 8 at just past midnight. LVMPD officers attending the scene at the intersection of Patrick Lane and Decatur Boulevard were approached by a woman who stated that “a man had been shot.”
pronounced dead days later.”
According to police, the man in question was found alive with a gunshot wound and taken to hospital, only to be “pronounced dead days later.”
The LVMPD Homicide Section described the two suspects as a black male adult and “a white or Hispanic female” while also providing details about their clothing. Members of the public with any information are being urged to come forward.
In July, another street takeover in Las Vegas saw the LVMPD called out after around 100 juveniles converged outside a Meadows Mall amusement arcade and started “several fights.”
