CNN has partnered with sports prediction market platform Kalshi. Axios reported the news on Tuesday after speaking with executives familiar with the matter. It will see Kalshi’s data appearing across CNN’s social media, digital, and television channels. A real-time data ticker will be present, and the content will relate to politics, culture, weather, and news.
It’s the first major new partnership for the biggest prediction markets operator in the world. Speaking to Axios, Kalshi co-founder and CEO Tarek Mansour explained how the company wants to be the “most authoritative source of information about the real-time probabilities of major cultural and political future events.”
Mansour believes that news outlets like CNN can help viewers interpret what the future could hold, integrating prediction markets.

The deal is exclusive, so CNN can’t work with any competitor platforms. In return, it won’t have to pay a fee for the partnership.
Other media outlets have already struck similar deals. Yahoo Finance integrates with Polymarket, while Time and Sports Illustrated have deals with Galactic. Kalshi is still the big player in the space. The company revealed on Tuesday that it completed a third funding round of the year recently, taking its valuation to $11bn. Mansour explained that it’s looking at striking further newsroom partnerships going forward.
