Caesars Entertainment has finally opened the doors of a monster trackside sportsbook at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, New Jersey, after a build that took two years to complete.
According to a news release, the 16,000-square-foot space comes with indoor and outdoor viewing spots, wall-to-wall video screens, and “over 25 self-service betting kiosks.”
Caesars took to X last week with news of its grand opening and images from the ribbon-cutting ceremony:
According to Caesars, Monmouth Park made history in 2018 by accepting New Jersey’s first legal in-person sports wager directly after the US Supreme Court overturned the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).
Caesars’ new brick-and-mortar sportsbook is a standalone building located next to the racetrack’s clubhouse, with views of the track.

Caesars Digital Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer Dan Shapiro said it was apt to open the “cutting-edge venue” at the birthplace of Garden State betting and add to Monmouth Park’s “rich history.”
Shapiro added: “With this investment, we are proud to continue to support horse racing” in New Jersey.
Dennis Drazin, the owner of the racetrack, is also chair and CEO of the construction firm that worked with Caesars in building the sportsbook. Drazin said it had been “a long battle since 2013 and, finally, the Supreme Court gave us sports betting in 2018.”
Drazin added that, however: “Caesars always had the vision of having this building that we’re standing in now being the flagship for their sports betting models throughout the country.”
