Investigative reporters have revealed the man who recently shot at buildings, neighborhoods, and people in vehicles in Las Vegas has been linked to a previous shooting at Wynn Las Vegas, the third casino on thirty-six-year-old suspect Hector Rodriguez’s valley-wide shooting spree.
According to local media, North Las Vegas Police Department (NLVPD) opened an investigation on September 15 after bullets hit one of its own departmental buildings. The suspect escalated to shooting at multiple homes, a 13-year-old walking home from school, and casinos Mandalay Bay, W Resort Las Vegas, and Wynn.
X user The Facts Dude took to the platform with a video of a police dog attacking Rodriguez at a gas station during his arrest on September 26:
According to reports, the arrest came after Rodriguez shot at traffic police before leading them on “a high-speed chase.”
Once the German Shepherd had helped pacify Rodriguez, police seized a pistol the suspect was in possession of. A search warrant on the suspect’s home revealed a second handgun. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s (LVMPD) Forensic Laboratory, Rodriguez’s weapon was connected to multiple shootings including casinos, Wynn Hotel, and the Clark County Family Court.
