Brad Pitt’s driving sequences for the F1 film shot during the actual 2023 and 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix were a cause of geat concern, according to the director.

Speaking to People Magazine recently, Joseph Krosinski explained why it was such a high-risk situation in the casino gaming hub. Filming could only take place at around 3:00am and for the November 2024 shoot Pitt had to drive an F1 car on a surface with a temperature of approximately 57 degrees, which according to the director “is practically arctic for F1 racers.”

one mistake, he’d be in the wall.”

F1 film director Joseph Kosinski said the Vegas sequence was “scariest” and “most deadly” for Pitt because “it was so cold and the tires don’t have a lot of grip, and if he made one mistake, he’d be in the wall.”

Social media had a different take on the reveal. Circus Circus Hotel and Casino’s history of violent crime has seen the Las Vegas Strip property become the inadvertent butt of the joke. Local influencer giant Las Vegas Locally picked up the headline and cheekily asked if it was a scary night because Pitt stayed at Circus Circus:

X user Robert Payne replied to the Circus Circus joke saying he was “Still trying to get rid of the lice and bed bugs.” Other social media users suggested Pitt’s nox horribilis was experienced at The Strat, Harrah’s, and Excalibur.

Circus Circus was easy game for Locally given a double fatal stabbing in 2018, while in 2020 four people were shot at and injured. Such is Circus Circus’ reputation that a false shooter alarm earlier this year triggered hysteria and the evacuation of the Strip property.
