A TikTok video of a man in Atlanta, Georgia destroying a slot machine with a sledgehammer has gone viral since it was posted last week.

Scattering players out of their seats, the hooded attacker methodically and expertly cracked open the machine to locate the cash box. Given that only lotteries, bingo, or raffles are legal in Georgia, many social media users saw the funny side of the video that has since received over 1.8 million views:

Thenerdstash cited a Redditor’s response as “the store can’t report it because those machines are illegal.”

“That’s the twist, the guy isn’t stealing; he’s just being a vigilante!” came a response.

My blood started to boil because I thought those were arcade games.”

Another Redditor chimed in with: “My blood started to boil because I thought those were arcade games. Then I saw it was gambling machines and yawned.”

Other social media users thought the sledgehammer-flexing man could be a professional robber, or an ex-employee familiar with slot machines given how he went straight to the cash box. A TikTokker opined: “I’m mad he knew exactly how to open it.”
