Popular streamer AyeZee has called out fellow content creators who he claims are normalizing irresponsible gambling.
The Malta resident took to X on Thursday to air his grievances about what he called the new era of “loan gambling” and “brain rot.” He explained that influencers earn huge sums of money every month to romanticize big wins and losses:
AyeZee is a gambling streamer who works with Roobet, so he acknowledges that he’s also promoting these platforms. However, he believes the difference between him and other creators is that they often show how easy it is to get out of their gambling debts as they have a fresh payment coming from their sponsor the following month.
take out loans or get advances on their sponsorship contracts so they can keep betting
Some people in the replies to the X post named specific streamers believed to take out loans or get advances on their sponsorship contracts so they can keep betting. This includes TheGoobr, who AyeZee named as “the final boss” of this kind of behavior. Goobr responded to the post, calling it an “L take.”
AyeZee acknowledged that he hasn’t always acted like “a saint” in the past and has been on the receiving end of criticism from the community. Some streamers have claimed that he doesn’t use real funds when playing online casino games. For instance, Xposed called out AyeZee for faking a $4.8m slot win in October 2023, calling it “unrealistic.”
