Kai Cenat, one of the most popular content creators in the world, became the first streamer to hit one million active subscribers on Twitch over the weekend with the help of his four-week-long “Mafiathon 3.”

He recently revealed in a conversation with gospel musician Kirk Franklin that he turned down a $60m offer from an online gambling company in 2023, as he knew accepting so much money and having to go down the gambling content route would make him lose focus on what he really wanted to do. Franklin couldn’t believe that the 23-year-old had rejected such a sizable deal:

Cenat remarked that he already had financial freedom at that point and that he didn’t want to make a short-term decision and promote “sh*t that I did not like” just for the money.
