Threats taken seriously

Red Rock Resorts’ subsidiary Station Casinos has taken down multiple memorials to conservative activist Charlie Kirk after its staff and CEO received multiple phone threats.

Last Wednesday, the Vegas-based casino and hotel giant posted memorial messages on marquees at properties including Palace and Sunset Station, with the message: “In loving memory of Charlie Kirk, 1993-2025.”

threats “and other backlash”

As Las Vegas Locally shared on X, police stated that the memorials were taken down because of the threats “and other backlash”:

The suspect in custody, 26-year-old Thomas “TJ” Fedikovich, allegedly threatened Sunset Station that “if the memorial was not removed from the marquee, then we would destroy the sign and take it down.”

The Madison, Wisconsin native allegedly residing in Henderson, Nevada got more aggressive on his second call to Sunset according to a Henderson Police Department report.

Fedikovich allegedly said: “Can you tell your boss there to take down that Charlie Kirk image on your sign? If you don’t do that, not only are we going to destroy your sign, we’re going to [expletive] and take out your CEO too.”

Cops’ coffee break

The Las Vegas Review-Journal cited Station Casinos Security Director Anthony DiDonna as stating that once the Kirk memorial was removed, Sunset allegedly received “another phone call from Fedikovich in which he thanked employees for listening to him.”

It’s not clear who Fedikovich was directly referring to when he threatened Station executives. Sunset’s Vice President and General Manager Jordan Seager oversees the Henderson casino’s day-to-day operations. The only chief executive for Station is its President and CEO, Frank J. Fertitta III.

frequent logins at the Henderson coffee franchise

Police arrested Fedikovich on Saturday at a Starbucks “within eyeshot of the Sunset Station marquee.” Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center investigators traced an email address via Fedikovich’s burner phone number that revealed frequent logins at the Henderson coffee franchise.

On Saturday, a Starbucks employee alerted police that Fedikovich had placed an order online and would soon be collecting it. The police intercepted Fedikovich, arresting him when he arrived at the cafe.

History with Station

According to reports, Fedikovich has history with Station: casino officials told police that Fedikovich held an active player’s card with the casino franchise.

While released on a $6,000 surety bond, Fedikovich faces a felony count of “coercion with physical force or immediate threat of physical force and misdemeanor harassment” for his threats.

Kirk died on September 10 after being shot in the neck at a Utah Valley University event.
