Following Twitch’s recent action on tackling creators using bots to boost their viewer numbers, many high-profile streamers have expressed their opinions on the topic. Slots streamer Trainwreck, naturally, has given his two cents about the reported temporary 24% drop in total viewership following the crackdown:

The 34-year-old has called for improved security on streaming platforms and third-party independent audits of viewership figures. He remarked that all the safety checks are completed by people who stand to benefit from higher viewer numbers.

Trainwreck ended his thread by suggesting that even if streaming platforms can’t take action against accounts obviously using bots, that they can stop recommending them on the front page or featuring them on social media.

This feedback comes a few days after xQc told his followers how they could see which Twitch streamers were viewbotting after the recent purge.
