Fanatics Gains Market Access in Missouri With Boyd Gaming Partnership

On the horizon

With the launch date for online sportsbooks in Missouri fast approaching, with operators looking to cement market access in time.

Fanatics is the latest brand to strike a deal that will see it be eligible to apply for a license in the state. It has partnered with regional casino company Boyd Gaming that will allow it to launch a mobile sportsbook if it gets the necessary regulatory approvals.

It will also operate a retail sportsbook at the Ameristar Casino Resort and Spa St. Charles and the Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City through this multi-year agreement.

Online sportsbooks that get the green light for launch will be able to go live on December 1. State voters narrowly approved Amendment 2 in November 2024, making it the 31st US state with online sportsbooks.

Two untethered online licenses were up for grabs, with DraftKings getting one of the last and Circa Sports surprisingly getting the other. FanDuel has secured market access through a deal with the St. Louis City Soccer Club, who play in the MLS. Bet365 and BetMGM are the other operators to get market access so far.
