Betr Entertainment is reportedly looking to acquire the Australian operations of Neds and Ladbrokes owner Entain. As reported by The Australian Financial Review (AFR) on Monday, sources close to the matter revealed that a meeting took place earlier in August between Entain executives and Betr owner Matthew Tripp in London.
A key topic of discussions was the idea of separating Entain’s assets in New Zealand and Australia. These markets generated £257m (US$347m) in the first half of 2025.

Betr is also in the middle of a bidding war to take over PointsBet, while Entain is currently facing a hefty fine from AUSTRAC that could surpass AU$100m (US$65m).
According to the AFR, Betr could have competition to acquire Entain’s operations, with Tabcorp reportedly also interested.
