Irish gambling operator Flutter Entertainment is among the top ten most valuable entertainment companies in the world, according to companiesmarketcap.com. A list, posted to LinkedIn by Boardroom, shows Flutter is tenth with a valuation of $53bn.
The operator, which owns Paddy Power, FanDuel, and Sky Betting & Gaming among others, is in great company. Streaming giant Netflix tops the list with a $499bn valuation, followed by Walt Disney ($201bn), Sony ($157bn), and Spotify ($141bn).

Flutter took to LinkedIn to express its pride over the acknowledgment. The gambling giant deemed it “a reflection of the trust millions of players, partners, and colleagues place in Flutter every day.”
“The list includes great companies that don’t just participate in their industries – they shape them,” the post read.
In July this year, Flutter bought Boyd Gaming’s 5% stake in FanDuel for a staggering $1.8bn. The firm became the sole owner of FanDuel in doing so, utilizing debt financing to complete the transaction. Boyd acquired the stake in 2018.
The Irish firm also underwent a major change this year as CEO Kevin Harrington stepped down. He was replaced by Ian Brown in January, transitioning from his former role as Chief Executive of PokerStars – another of Flutter’s well-known brands.
