Federal investigators revealed earlier this year that they were looking into possible point shaving in college basketball.

Sports Illustrated reported on Thursday that multiple sources have informed reporters that criminal indictments are on the horizon in the case. Interviews with players spanning various schools and regions have taken place, with the main focus at the moment reportedly being on “Southern schools.”

The US Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania is leading the probe, with the Eastern District of New York also investigating potential links between the gambling ring behind the Jontay Porter betting scandal and suspicious betting activity on nine college basketball games over the past two seasons.

It doesn’t stop there either, with the NCAA looking into various potential offenses relating to players from Temple University, Mississippi Valley State, Eastern Michigan, and New Orleans.
