When Donald Trump came into power for the second time in January, many of his supporters believed his campaign promise that he would release the FBI’s investigative files on Jeffrey Epstein. Now, the White House is resisting calls from Congress and Republican supporters to release the Epstein Files.
As frustration grows, apparently some people are going to strange lengths to try get information. Las Vegas news source Las Vegas Locally has reported that guests at the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas are annoying frontline staff with questions about the Epstein Files.
An insider source stated:
We have nothing to do with that issue, and it’s getting very annoying…”
They added: “Please help spread the word.” Donald Trump owns the Trump Las Vegas, which towers over the Las Vegas Strip situated on Fashion Show Drive.
Many believe Trump is resisting releasing the Epstein Files because his name appears in the investigation. Jeffrey Epstein, a well-connected business mogul who was accused of sex trafficking before his death by suicide in custody, was known to have associated with Trump. Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell have been pictured with Trump at events.
An unnamed White House official told Reuters they were not denying Trump’s name appeared in the files. Documents disclosed to conservative influencers in February did include Trump’s name, in addition to his family members.
The Wall Street Journal claims the President was informed in May that his name appeared in other justice department documents related to Epstein, a claim that Trump has denied.
