Five people, including the gunman, have been left dead in a shooting in a New York City high-rise. Now, rumors across social media suggest the shooter was an employee of Caesars Entertainment.

The gunman, Shane Tamura, travelled from Las Vegas to New York to carry out the crime. He entered an office block on Manhattan’s Park Avenue Monday evening, opening fire in the lobby before taking the lift to the 33rd floor and continuing the shooting. He then shot himself in the chest.
Vital Vegas reported on X that the suspected attacker was a Surveillance Agent for Caesars Entertainment, a rumor the Vegas news source claims has been “confirmed.” In an image of Tamura’s supposed Instagram account, the shooter is wearing a staff shirt for Paris Las Vegas, a property owned by Caesars:
Notably, the building in which Tamura opened fire was home to Blackstone, which owns multiple casino companies including Crown Resorts, in addition to the NFL headquarters. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has confirmed an NFL employee was seriously hurt in the shooting. A Blackstone executive has also been killed.
Police are still investigating the possible motive for the attack, although they have confirmed he does have a history of mental health issues.
Caesars has not officially confirmed whether the shooter did in fact work for them. The details included in this article are based on rumors reported by Vital Vegas.
