Several law enforcement agencies in Macau have conducted simulations of a bomb threat and armed robbery in collaboration with casino company SJM Resorts. The training mission, named “Wolf Capture 2025,” saw two separate incidents occur in different locations at the Grand Lisboa Palace in Cotai.
The one-hour mission on Wednesday was a success, with officers reacting from an on-site command center to arrest the suspects and to restore everything to normal.

For the bomb threat, a criminal group was said to have planted a device in a shopping mall that falls within the remit of the SJM Resorts property. They sought an HK$100m (US$12.7m) cryptocurrency ransom. The casino company contacted law enforcement for help immediately.
The other incident occurred on the Grand Lisboa Palace gaming floor, with four suspects robbing guests, pretending to injure people with knives. Some of the criminals barricaded themselves in a break room with a bomb and hostages. With the help of crisis negotiation personnel and special ops teams, they managed to apprehend the individuals.
The entire training exercise was a success, with the more than 200 personnel all achieving their intended results.
