First title in Friends series
Online gambling operator BetMGM, the online casino and sportsbook brand owned by MGM Resorts International, has announced the launch of its new Friends slot game, themed after the iconic US sitcom Friends.
Developed in partnership with UK-based Atlantic Digital, ’Friends: “The One With The Multi Drop”’ marks the first official online casino game exclusively based on the hit TV series across US markets. The first slot will debut in BetMGM’s online casinos in New Jersey and Michigan, and will later be rolled out in more US states where iGaming is legal and BetMGM operates its online and mobile casino.
The gameplay experience
In ’Friends: “The One With The Multi Drop,”’ the player is greeted by the set of the show’s familiar opening scene of the fountain and couch. Moving onto the game, the 6×9 game grid sits atop a backdrop that is the friend’s apartment.

All six of the show’s characters feature as high-paying game symbols, enabling players to land winning combinations matching Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, and Joey characters across paylines. Other symbols include classic iconography from the series, such as the couch from Central Perk, the turkey with heart glasses, and a lobster.
The game features an instrumental of the theme tune by the Rembrandts, I’ll Be There for You. Quotes from the show, like “How you doin’?” and “PIVOT,” will highlight specific wins.
Special features
The eponymous Multi Drop feature adds multipliers in the free spins round up to 200x. That multiplier is counted in a meter written in the Central Perk font and style. The maximum win is 5,000x, and gamblers in the US have taken home big wins from BetMGM before.
