The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has revealed a woman who allegedly fired bullets into a group of people on the Las Vegas Strip did so because one of them “made a joke.”
Iowan resident Secret White, 20, was reportedly “agitated” by the joke, stated Metro, and responded with gunfire at around 4:45am on June 8.
Las Vegas Locally took to X Tuesday with news that the LVMPD arrested White for attempted murder on her return to Vegas on July 3:
White’s actions left one person in the joker’s group with a gunshot wound.
According to Metro, detectives uncovered a lead via a car linked to White’s group. In addition, 8newsnow.com cited the LVMPD stating that: “images on White’s social media accounts match surveillance video from the shooting.”
Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Holly Stoberski presided over White’s July 4 probable cause hearing, setting bail at $50,000. Judge Stoberski also ordered the accused to wear an ankle monitor and “stay away from the Strip should she post bond.”
White reportedly made bail Tuesday but remained in custody as of that same afternoon.
