Shooting Causes Chaos in Front of Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas

A shooting incident has sparked panic among the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip.

Late Sunday evening, a shooter opened fire in front of the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas, Nevada. Videos of the incident have surfaced on social media, including footage of panicked public running down the Strip and numerous police cars rushing to the scene:

One video shows the incident beginning. A woman appears to try to prevent the man, who is wearing a white cap, from starting the attack. He pushes her out of the way and begins firing past the camera at unknown victims. A woman then screams: “Are you f*cking kidding me?!”, before the camera drops to the floor.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department warned people to “please avoid the area” on social media. The number of injuries or deaths is currently unknown as this is an ongoing situation.

Just last month, a gym employee was killed and multiple people were injured after a shooting in a Las Vegas gym. The suspected gunman was shot by police as he tried to run from the premises and was later pronounced dead.

The deadliest mass shooting in US history took place in Las Vegas in 2017 when Stephen Paddock opened fire on a crowd at the Route 91 Harvest music festival. He killed 60 people and injured 413 others as he fired from his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay.
