The Las Vegas Culinary Union has announced that it has struck tentative agreements with several casino resorts in Las Vegas. The three-year agreement with almost 2,000 Resorts World workers brings the contract onto the same timeline as the other properties on the Strip.

Another property on the list is MGM Resorts International-owned The Cosmopolitan, whose 2,500 employees will secure their biggest wage jumps in the 90-year history of the unions. Other parts of the agreement include healthcare benefits and workload reductions.

the Strip is now 100% unionized

Culinary Union Secretary-Treasurer Ted Pappageorge remarked that in the organization’s 90th year, the Strip is now 100% unionized and that the new agreements are “a win for workers, the company, and the future of Las Vegas.”

While not a casino, Harry Reid International Airport has also reached a middle ground with the Culinary Union, signing a five-year contract for 1,100 workers. Members still need to green-light the new contracts before they take effect.
