One of the most decorated jockeys has signed an ambassadorship role with the Stake gambling site. Frankie Dettori has won 287 Group 1 races and is a three-time British Champion Jockey for flat racing.
The Italian rider is still racing despite being 54; his most recent appearance was at Churchill Downs during Kentucky Derby week, although he wasn’t in the saddle for the main race.

Talking about the new agreement with Stake, Dettori said that he’s excited to get on board with “a hugely recognizable name within sport and work with some of the biggest athletes and teams.” This list of partners includes the Stake F1 team, UFC, Drake, Everton Football Club, and Israel Adesanya.
Dettori is still picking up the pieces after filing for bankruptcy in the UK after he fell foul of the HMRC over a scheme he was using to try to lower his income tax obligations. He said in March that he was “saddened and embarrassed” having to do so. While he doesn’t ride anymore in the UK, he continues to race in the US.
Stake has had its own issues in the UK, with the operator leaving the market in March over a controversial sponsored video featuring an adult film star.
