Caesars has been left red-faced after accidentally informing online casino players that they won Mariah Carey concert tickets. Many people were undoubtedly happy to hear that they would be able to attend the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer’s show in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

Unfortunately, this email was intended for a different user.”

A subsequent email from the Caesars Palace Online Casino customer support team – published by Bonus.com – dashed these hopes, revealing just three hours after the initial correspondence that it was a mistake. This second message stated “You may have received an email from us earlier in error regarding a prize drawing. Unfortunately, this email was intended for a different user.”

It appears that the correspondence was intended for select VIP players and not the wider user base for the online casino that accepts users in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Michigan.

One customer took to Facebook to complain about how she thought she won a pair of tickets and ultimately received a $5 no deposit bonus credit for the platform as an apology. Some people on social media complained that they already had arranged to fly or to drive to the Big Apple for the show.
