Bystander Shoots Car Thief Dead at Osage Casino & Hotel in Oklahoma

An alleged car thief was fatally shot outside the Osage Casino & Hotel in Bartlesville, Oklahoma when he attempted to escape by driving away from a police officer.

Reports state that on Tuesday at 5am, a police officer tried to get the suspect out of a vehicle he was trying to steal. However, when the suspect tried to escape, he dragged the officer who was holding onto the vehicle. A third person, who’s not believed to be an officer, then proceeded to fatally shoot the alleged car thief.

The victim, who is reported to have also stolen credit cards, has yet to be named; however, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the Osage Nation Police Department are investigating the matter. It’s not known if the shooter is in custody or will be facing charges for their actions.

Bartlesville’s Osage Casino & Hotel, which has only been open a few days, also experienced a stabbing over the weekend. The condition of the victim has yet to be determined.
