A casino worker in Michigan stole $700,000 from her employer and the money is still missing following her arrest.

A Michigan casino worker allegedly stole $700,000 from her employer, but despite the fact that she has been caught, the money is still missing. Police arrested Danika Nicole Young on Wednesday and charged her with the embezzlement of $100,000 or more by an employee.

The theft took place on July 30 at the Four Winds Hartford Casino, where the 38-year-old Young was a cash cage supervisor, responsible for millions of dollars.

It is unclear who was the recipient of the bag of money.

Young told investigators that she received a call from an unknown number that told her to take $700,000 from the casino to Indiana. It is unclear who was the recipient of the bag of money. Young’s bail is $1m and she will have a probable cause hearing on Wednesday after her extradition from Indiana to Michigan. She faces a prison sentence of up to 20 years if found guilty.

Casino employees stealing money from their place of work isn’t something new. A cashier at the Monarch Casino in Colorado walked out of the facility with $500,000 in March, the biggest casino robbery in the state’s history.
