MGM Resorts Inks Marriot Partnership, Gaining Access to 180 Million Members

MGM Resorts International and Marriott International have announced a monster 20-year agreement within which timeframe the two brands will launch a co-branded loyalty program, The MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy.

MGM CEO Bill Hornbuckle took to Twitter to share his pleasure at the deal, which included an “exclusive long-term strategic licensing agreement:”

The MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy will cover 17 MGM resorts, 12 of which are along the Las Vegas Strip. The deal will give the 40 million MGM Rewards members access to Marriott’s 8,500 hotel properties worldwide, and will give the 180 million Marriott Bonvoy members access to MGM’s entertainment, sports, and gambling assets, including its sportsbook BetMGM.

The new collection is set to launch in October with both brands strategically aligned to increase resort and hotel occupancy worldwide by cross-selling their loyalty assets.
