An anonymous gambler has won $2.1m while playing a slot machine at the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

An anonymous gambler has managed to turn a $7 bet into almost $2.2m in Las Vegas.

The unnamed person was playing the Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Gold Megatower slot on Friday at the MGM Resorts-owned ARIA Resort and Casino. A spokesperson for IGT, the developer of the game, announced the life-changing jackpot win.

The Wheel of Fortune slot machine has proven extremely popular among casino goers for more than two decades as its progressive jackpot often adds up to very significant sums.

While a $2.1m win is impressive, it still doesn’t scratch the surface of the biggest slots win in Las Vegas history. Won through the Megabucks jackpot, it still represents the largest-ever slot win in the city’s history.
