A DraftKings bettor completed one of the most impressive parlays ever Saturday during UFC 285, hitting for almost $400k off a $1 bet.

The bet cashed during the final fight of the night as Jon Jones returned to the octagon to take down reigning world heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane with a first-round submission.

The DraftKings customer predicted not only a Jones submission, but every preceding outcome on the card, including:

  • Dricus du Plessis to win by KO/TKO/DQ in round two
  • Cody Garbrandt to win by decision
  • Bo Nickal to win by submission in round one
  • Shavat Rakhmonov to win by submission in round three
  • Alexa Grasso to win by submission in round four
  • Jones to win by submission

The same bettor also won a shorter version of their mega parlay that included every leg except for Jones’ submission, which resulted in a $72.6k payout for another $1 wager. That brought the total payout to $472.1k off $2 in wagers.

Jones had not been in the ring since 2020 and had put on 44 pounds

Back at the venue, the drama of the night came during the final fight when Jones submitted Gane. Jones had not been in the ring since 2020 and had put on 44 pounds since then, allowing him to transition from a light-heavyweight to a full-blown heavyweight.

Former heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who disbanded from the UFC over contract disputes, issued congratulations to Jones but made sure to say that he is still the best heavyweight fighter in the world.
