Las Vegas Raiders Star Davante Adams Takes Up Role as MGM Resorts Brand Ambassador

Another Raiders connection

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is now a brand ambassador for MGM Resorts International. MGM Resorts is already an official gaming partner of the Raiders.

He will be featured in digital content initiatives and company marketing campaigns. The star will also occasionally take part in special MGM events at its properties in Las Vegas and elsewhere around the country. MGM Rewards posted a video of Adams on Twitter to announce the new relationship:

An exciting partnership

MGM Resorts International senior vice president of sports and sponsorships Lance Evans expressed his excitement about partnering with Adams, calling him a class act both on and off the field. Evans believes that Adams will be a great ambassador, with the casino company looking forward to the player’s “engagements with our MGM Rewards members.”

Davante Adams also released a statement to announce his new role with MGM, speaking about how the company has welcomed him and his family with open arms since he moved to the city. Speaking about the agreement, Adams said: “It’s truly an honor to be the first active NFL athlete to partner with this world-class company and to continue building a legacy in this new city I am privileged to call home.”

Looking to make a mark

Davante Adams is in his first season as a Raider, having been traded to the franchise in March from the Green Bay Packers. He subsequently agreed to a five-year contract extension worth up to $140m. He spent eight seasons in Green Bay, earning first-team All-Pro the past two seasons and a Pro Bowl nod the last five seasons. The 29-year-old had ten catches for 141 yards and a touchdown in his Raiders debut against the Los Angeles Chargers over the weekend.
