Promotions for fans
The NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers announced that BetMGM is now an official sports betting partner of the team. As part of the agreement, the BetMGM logo will appear on the pole pads at home games.
There will also be various fan engagement campaigns that include promotions through the team’s official app and casino games with 76ers branding.
Special events will take place at the casino once it is safe to do so.
BetMGM will appear across the various social and digital 76ers channels. The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City will now be an “Official Away Game Host of the Philadelphia 76ers.” Special events will take place at the casino once it is safe to do so. The Borgata will also host an event for VIPs and season ticket holders that will incorporate casino games, an autographed memorabilia raffle, and appearances by NBA legends.
Improving engagement
Speaking about the new deal, the 76ers chief revenue officer Katie O’Reilly said: “This partnership will give us the ability to connect with our fans on the digital channels where they spend their time through customized 76ers branded games and activations.”
She believes that the agreement will help the team reach new fans across gaming and sports channels.
BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost also commented on this partnership. He spoke about the operator’s recent launch in Pennsylvania and how the 76ers deal will help the engagement between the team and fans.
In addition to its agreement with the 76ers, BetMGM is an official betting and gaming partner of the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles.
Expanding its reach
BetMGM is gradually expanding its presence across the United States with its sportsbooks and online casinos. On December 18, BetMGM launched its first online sportsbook in Pennsylvania, the seventh state, alongside Colorado, Indiana, Nevada, New Jersey, Tennessee, and West Virginia, in which BetMGM has gone live.
The 76ers have also signed a number of partnerships with different gambling operators. Fox Bet was the first mobile sportsbook to partner with an NBA franchise when it signed a deal with the 76ers in November 2019. Since then, Parx Casino has come on board as an official casino partner of the team, with DraftKings becoming an official fantasy sports and sports betting partner of the NBA franchise.
