Firefighters have responded to a small blaze on the site of the former Fiesta Rancho Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

stemmed from Roof sheeting that had caught fire

The incident took place at about 2:30pm on Tuesday, with no reports of any injuries. Firefighters from North Las Vegas and the City of Las Vegas put out the blaze, which stemmed from Roof sheeting that had caught fire on the site of the permanently closed casino. It took about 30 minutes to extinguish.

The Fiesta Rancho is one of the Nevada casinos that never reopened after pandemic-forced closures in March 2020. Its owner, Station Casinos, announced in July 2022 that it planned to level the development and then sell the land. The demolition began in April, with the majority of the five-story building now rubble. An ice rink on the site remains open.

As well as the Fiesta Rancho, Station Casinos also never reopened its Fiesta Henderson casino. The property was demolished in February and the land sold for $32m to the city of Henderson.
