BetMGM Becomes Third Official Sports Betting Partner of Denver Broncos

Latest deal for the NFL team

BetMGM has signed a multi-year deal with the Denver Broncos franchise to become an official sports betting partner of the team. This makes it the third sportsbook operator to enter an agreement with the NFL team.

The Broncos tweeted out the announcement on July 9: 

As part of the deal, BetMGM will be opening up a lounge at the Empower Field at the Mile High stadium. The new role of partner will also see it provide a variety of premium fan experiences for Broncos supporters. 

The in-stadium BetMGM lounge will allow fans who are at least 21 years old to get access to a bar where there will be prominent displays of live odds. Staff will be on hand to assist patrons who wish to place wagers via the BetMGM mobile sports betting app. 

BetMGM is a leading sports betting operator owned by ROAR Digital, a joint venture between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts. It launched in Colorado on May 1, the first day that online sportsbooks were able to operate legally in the state. It is partnered with the Midnight Rose Hotel and Casino in Cripple Creek.

Other perks of the partnership

BetMGM will also be offering VIP travel packages and other perks through the MGM Resorts M Life Rewards program. Further promotions will be announced at some stage in the future.

The chief commercial officer of the team, Mac Freeman, said of the new deal: “When we began the process of identifying potential partners in this category, our goal was to provide Broncos fans with unique ways to engage with sports betting.”

Through the partnership, a free-to-play prediction game will be made available to fans on the Broncos’ official mobile app. Players can compete with one another for a variety of MGM Resorts prizes. 

The sportsbook operator will also get access to in-stadium advertising as well as having a presence on the NFL team’s digital assets.

Broncos make moves in the sports betting world

The Denver Broncos became the first NFL team to partner with a sportsbook when it announced a deal with FanDuel in June. This was followed the next day with news that Betfred was also to become an official partner.

The news of this latest partnership comes a day after ROAR Digital’s announcement of a further investment of $250m from GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts. This adds to the $200m the two shareholding companies had invested in July 2018. The goal is for BetMGM to be one of the market leaders in online sports betting and iGaming.
