The sportsbook has been developed by the Stockholm-listed company in partnership with Hard Rock International. The mobile-friendly product will support the retail sportsbook at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City.

New online sportsbook

The new online sportsbook in Iowa enables sports bettors to bet on the go. The sportsbook will provide the same quality betting experience that GiG offers in New Jersey. The company uses an omni-channel sportsbook solution for their services.

According to Chris Armes, the chief information officer at GiG, the smooth launch was the result of weeks of hard work between GiG and Hard Rock.

We are pleased to entertain consumers with a safe and exciting first-class omnichannel sports betting experience.”

Online registration

To bet on sports via the mobile sportsbook at the Hard Rock, players must first visit the facility. The identity of players must be verified before account registration can be completed. Players can visit the Hard Rock Sportsbook or the Rock Star Rewards Club Desk to verify their identity. A registration form is available to download online and fill out before visiting the casino.

Once the verification process has been completed, bettors can begin wagering on their favorite sports teams. Users can place bets online via desktop or laptop, as well as with a mobile device like a tablet or phone.

Joining retail betting

The launch of online sports betting via GiG comes just a few short months after the retail sportsbook opened at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City in late September, becoming the 14th casino to offer sports betting in Iowa.

When compared to other betting venues, the Hard Rock’s retail sportsbook is small. It offers only 400 square feet of space, with just four windows available for placing bets.

Dakin Schultz placed the first bet at the new facility. He is the Missouri River Historical Development board president. Mr. Schultz bet on the Iowa State Cyclones to defeat the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks in college football. Iowa State was the winner, defeating the Warhawks 72-20.
