Official sports betting partner

PointsBet and the NBA’s Indiana Pacers recently signed a new partnership deal, making the online sports betting operator the team’s official sports gaming partner. The operator will have access to branding placement at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the home arena of the Pacers, as part of the deal.

Along with announcing the multi-year deal with the Pacers, PointsBet has confirmed the locations for new off-track betting facilities in Illinois. PointsBet will be providing services for three sites.

PointsBet announced the deal via Twitter:

This is the second deal the Pacers have secured with a sports betting company. Before partnering with PointsBet, the team inked a partnership with DraftKings.

PointsBet and the Pacers

As part of the Pacers deal, PointsBet will be able to place branding in the out-of-bounds space at the home arena, between the baseline and the team bench. Signage can also be placed in other areas within the arena.

PointsBet branding will be added to the team’s digital platforms and fans will soon have access to special promotions. President and chief operating officer for Pacers Sports & Entertainment Rick Fuson stated that the corporate partnership is a real win for both companies:

We look forward to welcoming PointsBet as a very visible brand at the Fieldhouse and through our various channels.”

New off-track betting facility locations

Along with the new deal, PointsBet is busy setting up off-track betting sites in Illinois. In mid-July, the company was approved by the Illinois Gaming Board for a temporary sports betting license. With the certification, it can now offer retail and online services in Indiana.

This week, the operator revealed it has chosen Crestwood, Prospect Heights, and Oakbrook Terrace as its strategic locations for new facilities. Each facility will be a complement to Hawthorne Race Course, the partner of PointsBet.

Bettors must register in person for online sports betting accounts. With three new locations, this gives more opportunity for players in the state to find a spot for registration.
