No prizes for guessing what this one is about. The moment someone hands you a recommendation for PlayBlackjack.com you’re going to know exactly what’s on store once the homepage loads up. Or are you?
Well, yes and no, but before we get into all that let’s start with the very basics. PlayBlackjack.com isn’t the most advanced website we have come across, but nor is it the most dated-looking. Once the landing page has materialised (which, it has to be said, doesn’t take that long) you soon realise this. The centre of the page has a slider image reel that flicks between attractive and (presumably affluent) people sitting around roulette tables gambling their money and (hopefully) winning, or montage shots of cards, die and mobile phones.
The latter might seem like a bit of an odd one, until you notice the top row of menu click-through links. Just below the PlayBlackjack.com logo, you’ll see several links to click on- the first is Home, which you’re already on, the second Casino Games, which is why we’re all here, and the third is Mobile Games. Hence that picture boasting a smartphone.
Even more prominent are the offers and promotions which are also on an ever-changing loop of slider images, only with words rather than pictures. You’ll instantly notice the 300% bonus just for signing up, and the overall way the site seems very keen for you to switch to a mobile device in order to take advantage of the full potential of what’s here. How very modern indeed, it’s indicative of the fact developers quite clearly don’t want to fall behind the times. Nice.
How about starting on Casino Games. Click on this option and you’re likely to be slightly disappointed at what confronts you. There just aren’t enough visual nuances and touches to really keep you interested in the same way the best casino sites succeed at doing.
The first thing you’ll see is a four-paragraph piece of copy that explains what you can find on PlayBlackjack.com. The text itself uses a font that really doesn’t offer much by way of aesthetics- almost like a place holding typeface rather than one that has been put onto the page because it looks nice. The result being that you really don’t feel inclined to read any of the details, because it looks so plain and boring.
Scroll further down the screen and you’ll be confronted by some thumbnail type boxes, each offering different types of Blackjack, then Craps, then Video Poker, then Slots. If you love Blackjack, and chances are you wouldn’t be here if you didn’t, then this is obviously pretty enticing, but sadly the basic images and uninspired design of these is really not going to win any favours among most people looking to gamble some money.
Mobile games are everywhere these days and you really need to be on top of your game when it comes to running a website that tries to pull people in with the offer of playing for cash on the go.
Unfortunately, this is another area in which PlayBlackjack.com isn’t really doing its job properly. It offers just 11 Mobile Casino Games, or at least this is what it shows you when you click on the option, and that’s a very small number when compared with many competitor websites that we have seen on the market.
It’s a good question, and one we don’t want to ask for no reason. Put simply, PlayBlackjack.com just doesn’t seem to compete with the best out there on every level, and promotions and deals are just another example of this shortfall.
We already mentioned there’s a generous sounding 300% bonus for new members signing up, but the big question is- does the website offer any other promotional deals for those joining the club? Yet again this is where BlackJack really does miss a trick or two – there are very few other offer on the proverbial table. Nay, scratch that, there are absolutely no other offers on the table and that’s simply not good enough.
Type | Amount | Match | Playthrough | Claim |

Elsewhere, we’ve seen bonuses right up to the third or even fourth deposit new members make. Some online casinos even manage to do monthly, weekly and daily deals and promotions, many of which are not restricted to brand new members. Put simply, then, this is not the greatest on the market when it comes to offering great value for money, and that is undoubtedly going to hit its potential for true success pretty hard.
That’s really down to opinion. If you click on the menu option for Comps this will reveal everything you need to know about the ‘cashback’ the casino owners are offering. Sadly, again this falls well short of many websites we have come across in doing this job, and fundamentally when you consider the requirement on your part it’s just not good enough.
PlayBlackjack offers you $1 back for every $500 you actually decide to wager. If that doesn’t sound amazing that’s probably because it isn’t actually that great. At all. Nevertheless, it’s better than a kick in the teeth with hard boot from an angry, bitter, fully grown man (or indeed woman), so at least that’s something to keep in mind.
As genuinely nice people it’s pretty hard for us to just unleash a tirade of abuse against any website and the developers behind it, but those responsible for PlayBlackjack.com make that rule of thumb pretty difficult to keep up with.
For starters, the jet black background, and uninspired use of bog standard fonts, are not doing anyone any favours in terms of making you want to stick around and investigate what the site has to offer. And that’s probably the least harsh of our overall criticisms. On top of that, you have a rather limited supply of games, with the promotion of mobile games seemingly at odds with the provision of mobile games- having 11 to show off really isn’t going to have anyone dropping their jaw in awe, and pales into insignificance up against many other online casinos that are out there and placing an emphasis on mobile versions of casino games.
So far, so dud, take into account the fact that you have a decent-enough introductory promotion of $300 bonus for joining, but that’s where the promos stop, and things seem to go from bad to worse. Sure, there’s the ‘cashback’ idea that could well be great, until you realise that you’re basically getting 0.2 cents for every dollar you spend, and you have to spend – or at least risk – $500 in order to take advantage of this, and the whole thing starts to fall apart.
Fundamentally, then, we’re surprised that in this day and age this sort of thing is financially viable in terms of running costs, although the lack of comprehensive support options such as email and online chat do mean that overheads will be at a minimum. Put simply, this is one of those URLs best avoided and sorely lacking in the merits of rivals, so why would you waste your time?
