When the term Juicy Fruits is mentioned you’ll probably think of that cheap chewing gum that loses its flavor in less than two minutes. However, the Juicy Fruits I’m referring to here is the next video slots offering by the gurus at Russian software developer Igrosoft.
The game boasts the same basic but colourful design that has become a hallmark of their visual style. Giving a nod to the old fruit designs of land-based slots games, but putting their own signature twists on the formula in the process, Juicy Fruits looks at once to be both approachable and fun to play. As always, the visual design looks good, but how does the gameplay compare?
Dripping With Juice
At first glance you can see that Juicy Fruits contains the early 2000s-era Internet style visuals that Igrosoft are known for. Imagine what Neopets looked like back in 2001 (you remember Neopets, right?). That’s pretty much the vibe we get from this game. The goofy facial expression on the fruits gives the game a humorous and whimsical touch, and the strawberry lounging in the martini glass just exudes cool.
It must be said, the Latin vibes we get from the soundtrack are actually pretty catchy and not what I would have expected from a title like this at first glance. It doesn’t have that annoying skip that badly looped tracks usually have either. The interface below is laid out in clean, plain borders, and the background is designed to look as though the game is being displayed on an old CRT monitor.
The Apple Doesn’t Fall Far From the Tree
Now let’s break down the game’s technical details. Like many of Igrosoft’s games, the game has a rather measly 9 paylines. But that is no reason to worry, because you can bet up to 25 coins on every line, giving you a maximum bet size of 225 coins! The buttons below basically lay out everything you can change in the game – we liked the fact that you didn’t need to access an entire array of sub-menus to change some of the basic details. The left-most buttons let you exit the game or access the pay tables and additional info, while the middle buttons let you change the number of paylines in play.
What’s a bit odd about Juicy Fruits is that there is no option to change the coin sizes – perhaps this is why you can change the number of coins bet on lines instead. There isn’t an auto-spinner, but there are wild and scatter symbols to make up for that. We’ll get to the “double” button in a second.
A Fruitful Bonus Selection
Juicy Fruits doesn’t offer free spins or a progressive jackpot. But you aren’t going to care about that when we tell you that you can win up to 125,000 credits. When landed you are taken to the ‘fever’, which spins another reel that lets you get matching pairs which multiply your winnings further. It’s a bit bland in terms of style, but it has the potential to multiply your winnings by 100 times over. Imagine getting the 125,000 coin jackpot with that multiplier in place?

Being honest, as a slots game Juicy Fruits hits it out of the park. True, the game doesn’t offer the refined visual panache that some younger users might be looking for.
