Ten or Twenty Slot

Wazdan takes us to many exotic places, with some of the novelty themes more impressive than others, but they’ve never taken us anywhere as exciting as Ten or Twenty. From just the name alone, it looks like we’re in for a classic slot machine consisting of limited paylines, but the truth is that we’re in for a wild time in Mexico.

The tropical climate and varied landscapes make Mexico such a diverse place to visit, even without its culture and arts, so when those are added in it becomes a hive of activity, famed for its spicy food and salsa dancing. Spicy salsa is what you’ll get when playing Ten or Twenty as it has infused classic foods from the region with life, giving them personalities and facial features. It sounds quite creepy, like a food based retelling of Frankenstein, but there’s nothing uncomfortable about the features of this slot.

Spread out across either 10 or 20 winlines, users get to choose what kind of experience they want. In truth customers can usually determine the number of paylines they have active, but that normally gives them from between 1 and the final number, whereas here you have more wriggle room.

Shake Your Maracas

Playing Ten or Twenty is simple enough, with the interface exactly the same as any other title from the Wazdan brand; even the buttons are all in the same places, with the same appearance. It feels spookily too similar.

Also unchanged is the betting range, which is between 0.10 and 100 credits, a range of money that can be adapted to suit most customers and their financial situations. Of course, if anyone is suffering badly with money problems but still wants to play, they can play the demo at a variety of different casinos.

Other than that there isn’t much more for you to test out and get used to, sure you can automatically play if you want to, but that’s not something we can explain to you as it does it sufficiently enough itself. And as for the number of winlines, they’re another set of totals that can only be determined by you, though we will add a parting gift. The number of lines used won’t change the payouts, so opting for 20 instead of 10 won’t suddenly make the jackpot more worthwhile.

Don’t Worry, Be Happy

It’s been said before that nobody can be sad when wearing a poncho, but it’s also true that no one can be miserable when the various musical connotations of Mexican music are explored. People easily think that the sound is limited to mariachi bands, but it’s much more complicated and varied than that. The subtle mix of European genres will accompany you throughout every spin.

And if that wasn’t enough, the cute characters will dance and use their instruments to help put a grin on your face; this is definitely a game to play if you’ve been feeling down in the dumps. Seeing a red chilli in a sombrero breath fire and dance upon a tile is the stuff of dreams. Though so too is seeing all of the characters drop from the reels, being replaced by others. The only thing is that, after a while, you start to feel guilty – at first it was funny, but then we turned the sound on and heard the tiles screaming as they fell. It’s quite dark.

Ten or Twenty was doing so well and we’d enjoyed it immensely, and then we noticed that there were no bonus rounds, but only a scatter and wild. This duo can still be fruitful, but you won’t be getting great wads of cash from them, nor will you find any innovative mini levels. What this ultimately means is that you’re going to get bored super fast.

Have Wazdan Done it Again?

If you’re a fan of Wazdan slots, you’ll probably see this as yet another victory in gaming, but for us we found it pretty dull. Yes, the reels looked and sounded great, but then there was no substance, even despite the progressive kitty and max payout of €2,000. Money is all well and good, but if the road to it isn’t amusing or fun, it soon loses its appeal.
