Speed Cash Slots

Casino game developer Play’n Go has a solid track record when it comes to designing impressive 5-reel slots, so it should come as no surprise that Speed Cash – the company’s old-school 3-reeler – upholds the firm’s good name. Speed Cash – or $peed Cash if you want to adhere to the super-cheesy nom de guerre – is all about fast cars, dolla dolla bills and that oh-so-lovely sound of a purring engines. It also includes an ever-rising progressive jackpot.

Speed Cash is a super-simple slot, one which should appeal to gamers who prefer easy gameplay to super HD graphics. There are 3 reels, 2 rows and just 1 payline. As is the case with most 3-reel slots, the title’s paytable appears on the right-hand side of the reels themselves, revealing the pay-outs on offer for each combination of matching symbols. Sound simple enough? Well, it is. Nonetheless, we’ve crafted a review to give you the lowdown on all that the high-paying game offers.

Getting Started

In Speed Cash, the coin value is fixed at 0.25, and players are free to stake one, two or three coins. Given that the most you can bet with is 0.75 per spin, this can very much be considered a low roller’s slotconsidered a low roller’s slot. That said, high rollers might well be lured in by the bumper progressive jackpot. Set your bet using the controls at the foot of the screen; you can also opt to play 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 auto spins. When you spin the reels, you’ll hear tyres spinning and engines revving. If the soundtrack starts to fray your nerves, simply hit mute.

As stated, Speed Cash is linked to the developer’s progressive jackpot network. If you want to know the kind of riches that might be in store for you, you can view the running total in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. You must be playing at maximum bet to be in with a shout of scooping the bounty.

All things considered, we’d definitely advise players to stake three coins. Think how much you’ll kick yourself if you land three red cars but you’ve only wagered one or two coins? Incidentally, the return-to-player figure for three coins is a healthy 94.12%, compared to 87.92% for two coins or less. Food for thought, don’t you think?

Stacks of Coins and Gold Bullion

The icons on display are all related to the game’s concept, which is refreshing when you think about how many slot games include four, five or six playing cards, sometimes constituting half the symbols on the reels. No danger of that here; the symbols include a fancy red car, gold bullion, a stack of banknotes fastened by a rubber band and piles of silver coins. The vehicle is the most valuable of all, paying out the progressive jackpot for three in a line – if you’re playing with three coins, that is. Land three with two coins and you’ll win 1600; land three with a single coin and you’ll receive a still-impressive 800. That’s not to say you must land three to make a win, though. Land two and you’ll receive six, 12 or 18, depending on how many coins you’ve wagered. Land one and you’ll still win two, four or six credits.

The red car is truly the game’s money symbol. As well as being the most lucrative, it is wild, able to stand in for other symbols to help you make wins.

Among the other icons, three gold bars pay 200 for one coin, 400 for two coins and 600 for three coins. Three money stacks pays 40, 80 or 120, while three piles of silver coins pays 15, 30 or 45. Cash sums can also be won for hitting any three of the aforementioned symbols. So, if you land coins on reel one, banknotes on reel two and a gold bar on reel three, you’ll still win cash. The sum will be six if you’re playing with one coin, 12 if you’re playing with two coins and 18 if you’ve got three coins in the pokie. As you can imagine, the wins are pretty regular in this one.

Basic, but Entertaining

There’s no getting around it: Speed Cash is an exceedingly basic slot game. That’s not to say it’s not worth your attention, though; there’s some good wins to be made, and time tends to zip along rather quickly while you’re playing.
