Bush Telegraph Slots

If you’re a fan of cartoon styled slot games, then the Bush Telegraph slot machine will certainly be of interest to you. With bright and bold graphics, exceptionally well made, this is yet another outdoors themed slot – but is it one that is worthy of your time and money on?

Coming from Microgaming, one of the most popular slot designers out there and renowned for making high quality games, you can be sure that it will be exceptionally well made, full of entertaining features that are always incredibly fun to play. Bush Telegraph certainly does not disappoint in that case, then.

With well-designed cartoon graphics, this 5-reel slot game has 15 pay lines, and some great in game features and bonuses, it’s one of the better games available.

Let’s Win Some Dingo Dollars

The name Bush Telegraph goes back in history as a method for people to keep in contact over the large distances across expansive rural areas, such as the Australian Outback. However, in more modern times it’s probably most well known as being a hut on I’m a Celebrity… where the celebs record messages! Thankfully, as we don’t fancy eating any bugs, that’s where the similarity with the latter ends.

You might think Bush Telegraph would be themed around the Australian Outback. In fact, it’s more generically jungle themed. This 5-reel slot features various symbols including birds, bongo drums and Warthogs, as well as the standard 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace. With 15 pay lines, this slot game gives you an excellent chance to win, which is further enhanced by wild and bonus icons (which have a great animated feature when you win).

Great for those looking to bet small and just have a bit of fun, with a minimum bet of just 0.01, it is also great for the big spenders with a large maximum bet of 75 coins. If you consider yourself to be an expert slot player, then you’ll be happy to know this game offers both a regular and expert control console. The latter also provides an auto spin feature.

The Wild Outback

The wild symbol, as you might expect, represents the wild feature. This substitutes for every other symbol other than the scatter and Bongo Bonus (more on this later).

If you spin 5 Wilds then you’ll win the large jackpot of 7,500 coins. So keep an eye out for these!

Free Seeds and Spins

The seed pod symbols act as the free spin scatters and win you free spins. With 10 free spins awarded initially, this is not the highest out there, but if you happen to have 3, 4 or 5 seed pods appear on your pay line then this will be multiplied by 3 to give an excellent chance to increase your winnings.

Bongo Bonus

Bongo Drums aren’t really anything to do with Australia, which immediately pops into your mind when you hear “Bush Telegraph”, but don’t let that distract you from what is an excellent bonus round.

When three or more Bongo Drum symbols appear across your pay line this bonus round will be activated. Your screen is transformed into a selection of 11 bongo drums. Your task is to choose bongos which contain bonus coins by hovering over them as they play. Once you’ve collected 3 amounts or the collect icon, the bonus round will end.

With between 10x and 30x your original stake available in this bonus round, which shows up fairly regularly, it is an excellent additional feature and one well worth looking out for.

Bright & Colourful

The name might suggest more of an Australian Outback theme, but this game is mainly about the jungle. With well drawn cartoon graphics which includes animals such as warthogs and exotic birds, as well as a colourful game board with bright green bushes and trees.

It is maybe not a game for those who aren’t a fan of bright and slightly distracting designs, however these soon blend into the background as you enjoy the highly entertaining game.

Worth a Step into the Wild?

It’s hard to find something not to like with Bush Telegraph. It’s got a great theme, it’s excellently designed and the brightly coloured cartoon graphics do invite you in to play and get you excited for the game ahead. And it's not just for online pokies fans either.

The base game is highly entertaining, and with a wide stake range it’s perfect for those after a quick bit of fun or high rollers. The bonus rounds add to the fun with unique twists, and increase your chances to win big – and who doesn’t love that?
