Underwater World Slots

In a role reversal to Ariel wanting to be part of our world, we’re desperate to be part of hers. We’re in the middle of a mermaid takeover, and so is there more of a perfect way to get used to the fishy goings on under the sea than with Gameplay Interactive and their Underwater World slot machine? We think not!

This game looks like Pixar combined with Disney crossed with Tim Burton, and so you can expect a very distinctive aesthetic. Pair this with medium sized winnings and a few token free spins, and you have the makings of splish splashy fun.

Even if you’re not turned on by anything that we’ve mentioned so far, who can deny the unmistakable pull we have towards experiences we haven’t tried before? It’ll be a shame if you only play this game for no other reason than just because, but if that’s what it takes for you to bond with the mysteries of the deep blue, then go for it.

Seafoam and Debris

Nobody said that the bottom of these waters would always be pretty in a traditional sense, for beauty is subjective, and there are a lot of scraps that have sunk down in the depths.

Dead ships lay wasted having met a grisly end upon the rocks above, menacing fish lurk in the shadows, and some of flora will more than likely twist around you and pull you further down into the dark. The ocean isn’t without dangers.

But the light at the end of it all is in the form of two ginger haired mermaids, who have the faces of angels, their bodies glistening in the water, every curve hugged by the ocean. They’re not sexualised though, which adds a new dimension to the game as a lot of slots go for raw sex appeal over innocence; these mermaids are attractive, but they’ve not been made a source of lust.

Continuing on with the theme of innocence, there are turtles all wide eyed and curious, a clown fish that side eyes you nervously, a squid who looks caught between emotions, and a starfish as happy as a pig in muck. As you can see, you’re rewarded for getting past all the gloom.

Closely Guarded Clams

People have debated for a long time whether clams have pearls inside or not, but in Underwater World their clams definitely hold riches for those who find them. On your swim you can find between three and five of the shellfish at any one time, but the three different tiers bring in varying fortunes. When three of them are found players will open them up to find €15, but four matches will get €75, and five will take you to the top end with €250.

As for the rest of the sea life, well you may be surprised to learn that it isn’t anything friendly that hides the thousands, for it is the hungry shark that comes out on top. While realistic in most respects, we’ve become used to pretty and cute winning more money than the bad, and so Gameplay score extra points from us for being original. In addition to being worth a tasty yet salty 10,000 credits, the shark is also the wild.

Scattered Mermaids

The mermaid is the scatter, and when three of her are found the free spins can start up; there are 15 rounds to be won each time this happens. These can be re-activated, and there will always be a x3 multiplier.

Keep on Swimming

An oxygen tank isn’t the only bit of equipment you’ll need, your wallets are also demanded for the game to begin, and so you’ll be placing a wager worth between 0.10 and 6 coins on individual paylines, of which there are 15. Your maximum bet, should you choose to accept it, will be 90 credits, a juicy amount that a lot of us can’t risk gambling.

Aside from the typical autospins and max bet widgets, there is a double up feature included in Underwater World that helps keep morale high when the lows have been felt during the base game. In the gambling level (which looks amazing, by the way), customers need to select a higher value card than what the dealer has; it’s simple but effective, and a great means of improving your cash flow. Provided you’re lucky, which if you’re anything like us, you won’t be.
