Aviator Slots

Soaring through the air, light as a feather and gliding towards whatever destination you’d like, is an experience many of us pay to enjoy whenever we go abroad. It’s a very costly way of feeling like a bird, when all you really need to do is play Aviator from Drive Media.

In truth, we know it won’t give you quite the same sensation as being in flight, but it can be argued as cheaper (unless you’re a high roller), and less dangerous - the only part of your being that will be hurt is your wallet. Drive Media have done a fantastic job of making this real cash slot feel as close to reality as possible, and best of all, you’re the one manning the plane.

Utilising a 3D set of aesthetics to bring the atmosphere to life, Aviator is an attractive looking game, if not the most advanced of its kind. Players will be able to see that it’s more dated when compared to titles from other brands, however for this gaming company, it appears to be part of their aesthetic; virtually all of their slots have a similar texture.

Loss of Altitude

Hearing your plane is losing altitude is more than cause for alarm, but when the dials start spinning around wildly on the 5-reels and 9 winlines, it’s time to get excited and not terrified. The reason for this is that the altitude symbol brings with it free games, provided you find enough of them. Yes, if you hope to get the feature game, you need to have a win of between three and five of a kind, which as most of you will know is standard for online slots.

The tile isn’t limited in any way, allowing for a more flexible experience upon the grid, which helps with the medium volatility of the game. That being said, expecting the symbol to appear in enough quantities (and often) is foolish at best – you’re more likely to get the lower value icons than the higher rewarding ones.

Free games, extra rounds, whatever you want to label them are going to sound like old hat for veteran gamers, and as such very lacklustre. But Drive Media has a cherry to place on top of this cake, to ensure it’s more flavoursome and enjoyable: there’s a x3 multiplier on all the winnings made. Anddddddd there’s the opportunity to trigger even more waves during this time.

Auto-Pilot

Sometimes getting to grips with control panels can be tricky because while the game has been well made, its interface hasn’t; thankfully, that isn’t an issue here. Although the controls have been adapted to be visually in-keeping with Aviator and its theme, nothing is complicated or hard to read.

Everything you need is tucked away at the bottom of the screen, made to look like the inside of a cockpit, adding an extra immersive layer to this already stimulating slot.

That being said, as much as we adore how everything has been made to look ‘the part’, there’s no escaping the fact that some users will miss the simplicity of a staple spin button. If you’re one of those individuals, maybe a novelty themed game isn’t for you…? Aviator isn’t purist in the slightest, though nor is it weighed down by its graphics, but instead falls somewhere in the middle.

Now for the important bit - how much it’s going to cost you. If you play with all 9 paylines, with the minimum bet per line, you’re looking at a total of 9 credits in all. Should you increase to the max bet, via the controls or the handy button, you’re punting a 360 stake instead.

Triple Jackpot

This slot machine, as well as having slick controls, has three progressive jackpots, that appear to increase every time you spin. The first two tiers of the prize have very little between them, with one coming in at 2,863 credits and the middle a slightly larger 2,965, but the bigger payout is a couple of thousand higher at 4,205, making it much more satisfying to win.

Flying Like an Eagle

Aviator is a great little title from Drive Media, allowing its users to take to the air without risking all the money they own. It’s a middling sort of slot that has low variance and average volatility; you might get stung, but it won’t be completely painful, which is always a bonus. The only aspect of the game that might hold it back is its niche theme, for not everyone is keen on flying.
