China Style Slot

China Style is far from a traditional Chinese inspired slot machine, making it a rare and beautiful find for all you enthusiasts out there. While the imagery used can be said to be expected of such a titled game, the contents of it and how it’s played is very different. The way the game opens with a flurry of red curtains tells you as much; this is a show-stopper.

Golden dragons breathe fire out on the 5 reels, while a decorated geisha stands ready to assist you with anything you need, no matter how unusual. Then you have a Christmas bauble and Ti Lung from Kung Fu Panda, and the game starts to take twists and turns that nobody could have expected.

This game is going to challenge everything you know, turning it all on its head and asking you to rethink what’s possible. But most of it, it’s going to win you a lot of money, or at the very least it has the potential to do so.

Light a Lamp

Chinese lanterns are such delicate and fleeting accessories, having been adapted by Western cultures to be carelessly cast off into the dark of night; in this game they’re treated with proper care. And with good reason: they’re the bringers of the bonus. Just as they float along and grant all those that fall under its gaze light, it grants you lucky few the chance of winning a feature game.

Unlocking the mini game proved difficult, with us never once being successful, and so we’ll have to leave the contents of it to your imaginations until you win favour with the three to five tiles. Even though we suffered a poor turnout here, we managed to bag ourselves 4 free spins within the first couple of minutes.

When you get free spins, the reels light up with a message in red and gold, and then a counter will show up where the jackpot amounts once sat. What we found most unusual was that the bonus game tile didn’t show up once, which has never happened in a 777igt activity before. This may have just been our bad luck, or it could be a sign of a new gameplay feature, either way it’s something to bear in mind when playing.

The scatter symbol never showed up in enough numbers for the multipliers to play, but what did keep cropping up was the wild, substituting and granting us little packages of happiness whenever it landed. In fact, the wilds brought us the most successes, although they were all small ones.

A Generous Patron

You have to be grateful to these geisha's for putting on such a delightful show, which means that coin should flow from the beginning to the very end of your night. It doesn’t have to be a lot, but it needs to be enough to quality the minimum stake, which is 0.25 in all. As you’re the one with the money, or so you keep telling the performers, you can raise your stakes up to the height of 50 credits, with the Max Bet option making it all the easier.

In regards to the automatic spins lurking in the darker corner of China Style, it will light up a series of options you can choose from, the highest number of rounds being represented by the infinity symbol. What this means is that there’s no end game, allowing the option to keep on going as long as you do.

The best bit about the controls in China Style is that they’re a lot more streamlined and user friendly than the ones seen in 777igt’s older activities. Everything has been reduced down and made that bit clearer, which makes all the difference when playing; for us, ease of play is just as important as the money you can gain, maybe even more so.

Style but No Grace

This is a difficult title to pin down and conclude on, for it has buckets of style and yet it seems to lack grace, with the most common reason being because of the mismatched symbols used. They all seem so appropriate, and then a character from an animated film makes an appearance and it messes it all up – did 777igt decide to stop trying?

Who knows, but it certainly affects the overall atmosphere for what would have been an excellent game.
